Feels good

Since I skipped graduation (let's be honest, does anyone really enjoy sitting through them?) I was a little anxious if I really had done everything needed to have my degree officially conferred. I worry no more. Just received the following email:

Dear Cristen,

Congratulations on your graduation ... We have posted the following degree to your academic record:

Doctor of Philosophy
Bioengineering

Your transcript reflects this information. The diploma will be mailed ...

Let the fun begin?

I will admit that I didn't entirely enjoy sitting through all of graduation last week (we left part way through the PhD hoodings), or the fact that they started almost 40 minutes late (40!). But, I definitely did feel like it brought a sense of closure to the whole grad school experience. Of course, moving across the country would probably been a great means of closure too. ;)

(Congrats, btw!)

Errr...would probably have been...

Aack! A mistake! I guess my degree didn't do me as much good as I thought.

so where's the "hood" Cris?!
We can perform that ceremony here, if you'd like!
What does engineering have to do with philosophy? Isn't that interesting? I would have thought it'd be under the BS category.
